Category 6 High-Density cable (Cat6 High-Density), also known as Mini Cat6 or Cat6 Slim has a smaller overall diameter than the standardized Cat6 improving bend radius and flexibility. Like the larger diameter Cat6, Cat6 High-Density must meet more stringent specifications for crosstalk and system noise, and it exceeds performance requirements for 1000BASE-T while providing support for 10GBASE-T applications. Cat6 High-Density is backwards compatibility to Cat5e and provides performance of up to 250 MHz, enabling data centers to save space and increase airflow to maintain a more consistent operational temperature while minimizing downtime.
